We're looking to support the dreamers in our Boardwalk Communities who want to improve the world around them.

Do you have a dream?

No matter how big or how small, if you can imagine it, we can help you achieve it! The Boardwalk Big Dreams Contest is an invitation to all the dreamers, doers and entrepreneurs in our Communities who want to make a difference. Based on your business proposal, Boardwalk will provide you with the necessary funds to make your dream a reality!

Whether your dream involves a simple project - such as creating a free community library - or requires an ongoing commitment - like starting a cooking class for new Canadians - we want to help! Guided by the Boardwalk BWell program and its five core pillars, we’re looking to provide the funding needed to make your dream a reality.

How It Works

  1. DREAM BIG: Come up with your idea to positively impact the community or your business. No dream is too big or too small as long as you have the vision to accomplish it!

  2. SHARE YOUR VISION: Fill out our contest form to tell us about your dream and how it aligns with the Boardwalk BWell program to benefit the Community or your business. Our Internal Steering Committee will review all submissions to determine the contest finalists.

  3. BRING YOUR DREAM TO LIFE: If selected as a finalist, you’ll be invited to present your dream to our Internal Steering Committee for the chance to receive the funding needed to make it a reality! There is no limit to winners for this contest, meaning multiple dreamers may have the chance to bring their ideas to life for their Communities.

 

What is BWell?

The Boardwalk BWell program helps us prioritize our commitments to five pillars:

The Boardwalk Big Dreams Contest is seeking to fund projects that will directly impact our Communities under one of these commitments.

November 6 - 30 - Finalists’ Presentations

FAQs

  • All applicants must:

    • Have lived with Boardwalk for a minimum of one (1) year in good standing.

    • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry

    • Have an idea that would directly benefit the Community or their business and a plan to execute it, including a budget breakdown and timeline for completion.

  • Yes! There is no limit to the number of Boardwalk Big Dreams Contest winners.

    All submissions will be reviewed based on their merit by our Internal Steering Committee to determine a list of finalists. The contest winners will be decided based on the results from the Internal Steering Committee and the finalists’ presentations.

  • A Boardwalk Steering Committee will judge all submissions to determine the finalists using the following criteria from eligible submissions:

    • A clear and compelling justification for how the idea will benefit the Community or their business and how it relates to one or all of the Boardwalk BWell program pillars.

    • A plan for executing the idea, including a specific budget breakdown and a reasonable timeline for achieving the desired result.

    Once the finalists have been selected, they will be required to formally present their idea to the Internal Steering Committee. Once all presentations have been made, the committee will select the contest winners.

  • We encourage you to take the time to review the entire nomination form before you start, and familiarize yourself with the Boardwalk BWell program and its pillars.

    • Remember to double-check your spelling and grammar.

    • Ensure your submission contains all the required information including a reasonable timeline for completion and a budget breakdown.
